RICHMOND - Richmond Area Health Center is holding a Healthy School Year Drive from August 13th through August 17th. The event will support students at Marcia Buker Elementary School. The staff of Richmond Area Health Center wants to provide local students with healthy snacks, items that promote physical activity, and toiletry items. Their goal is to help as many local students as possible!
Requested items include:
• Non-perishable snacks
• Frisbees
• Jump Ropes
• Balls
• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste
• Hand Sanitizer
• Soap
• Tissues

The event is being held in celebration of National Health Center Week, which runs from August 12th - 18th. This year’s theme for National Health Center Week is “Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Home of America’s Healthcare Heroes.” One of the bright spots in America’s health care system, Community Health Centers serve more than 27 million Americans, a number that continues to grow along with the demand for affordable primary care.
