     HealthReach Community Health Centers (HRCHC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit healthcare organization. We depend on the generosity of individuals, families, corporations and foundations to ensure our continued excellence in delivering family health care to Maine citizens and visitors. Since opening our first community health center in 1975, we have received a number of generous grants from federal, state and private sources as well as contributions from individual donors. These donations have enabled us to offer an Affordable Care Program to those who qualify, and to initiate a variety of outreach and education services - including parenting programs, dental services, domestic peace initiatives and health education programs.

     In 1975, when the local private physician in Bingham retired, community members envisioned a community medical facility for all residents. They worked together with their neighbors to raise funds for the renovation of an old house, which was converted into a community health center. And Bingham Area Health Center was launched. This first center in the HRCHC system began serving seven patients on its first day of operation. Today, forty-seven years later, HealthReach has twelve community health centers in over eighty rural communities of central and western Maine, provide quality, compassionate health care to 25,000 individuals and families at our facilities each year, regardless of their ability to pay. With your help, we will continue pushing the boundaries of compassionate care - improving the lives of children, adults and families. Your generosity is needed now more than ever, as the requirements of our patients continue to grow, while insurance and government supports decline. In this rapidly changing and increasingly difficult healthcare environment, donations are essential to fund patient service improvements, technology, patient education and community health programs.

     In order to provide quality healthcare services to our communities, leadership interest and generous gift support are ongoing requirements.
