HealthReach Physician to offer additional services in Somerset and Franklin Counties

WATERVILLE - Diane Zavotsky, MD, will start providing additional services at HealthReach Community Health Centers this winter. In 2016, Diane joined the per diem pool of providers who fill in as needed to provide uninterrupted care to patients when site providers are in training or on leave. She will be extending her time offer regular hours in Bingham, Madison, Rangeley and Kingfield.

Diane brings 30 years of experience in family medicine, women's health, and patient hospital medicine. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery degree at McGill University Faculty of Medicine, Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1986 and subsequently completed Family Practice Residency at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, Maine. Previously, she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Colby College, Waterville, Maine. Her clinical areas of interest include full scope family medicine.

Diane recently shared her thoughts on increasing her care of HealthReach patients: "It's been said that family physicians 'are more conscious of social purpose than any other physicians.' During these past three years, I've been impressed with the work I see at HealthReach doing to bring quality and compassionate primary care to the communities near my home in Somerset County. The organizations has embodied the 'team approach,' which is necessary today; however, I also see physicians are increasingly absent from the 'team' in rural Maine. I hope that my training and experience add something valuable to the terrific care that these teams already deliver. I am grateful for HealthReach giving me the opportunity to contribute to my sense of local 'social purpose.'"
