BINGHAM – The Food-for-All Farm Stand at Bingham Area Health Center will now take place on Thursdays, starting immediately. It was decided that participating farms would have a greater variety of vegetables to offer at the farm stand on Thursdays each week.
As always, cash and EBT cards are accepted at the Food-for-All Farm Stand.
The Food-for-All Farm Stand is geared toward creating an alternative food access model that will make fresh local produce available and affordable for rural Mainers who are low income or use SNAP benefits. The cost of the food is subsidized by Good Shepherd Food Bank.
The farm stand will be open from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays during the following days in 2017:
• August 24
• August 31
• September 7
• September 14
• September 21
• September 28
Fresh, local produce will be provided by Moodytown Farms of Pittsfield and various other local farms as needed.
